How do you download the skins/poses?:
Click on the picture preview of the skin you want to download and you will start downloading a .zip file. You must have Winzip to be able to unzip and install the files onto your computer.
What to do with the skins and heads once you have them download:

Using Winzip, unzip the files and place them inside the folder:

The Sims\Gamedata\Skins And remember any skin in a subfolder will not show up in the game.

Using Winzip, unzip the files and take all the files inside the folder Hotdate/HotVac and place them in The Sims\Expansionshared\skinsbuy folder. You may also place them in the The Sims\Gamedata\Skins folder.

You Will have to go downtown and purchase the formal/swim/sleepwear for your character before it appears in your game.
What do I do with the custom skins I have downloaded?

Then go downtown and have your sim buy the pajama, swimsuit, and/or formal wear that you downloaded, and that will become their default swimsuit/pajama/formal.
